Our Therapists
Anna Petraitis Hatfield
There is something very special about group work. It is sacred. I feel honored to be trusted in my role in it. I am a strong proponent of group work, especially for those who have experienced childhood sexual abuse. I continually take trainings that pertain to this work, and follow latest research on this topic, which I often bring into group or share with group members. I was trained in group work through a Gestalt lens, which I use as a foundation that prioritizes relationship and connection. I utilize many other modalities, such as somatic, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic.
Safety is the most important thing with any trauma work, and I take that seriously. I will walk alongside you in kindness and with compassion, utilizing a collaborative approach tailored to your strengths and goals. I will support and validate your experience, while also working to help you challenge yourself to grow in a way that is safe and helps develop purpose, worth, and connection. My job is to help guide you to best understand your experience and what is needed to thrive. You know you best, and I am here to explore, listen, and guide as you discover your path forward.
In my free time I enjoy being with my family, friends, and my menagerie of animals, traveling, glamping, cooking, walking, organizing, eating, and being in nature. I also appreciate time doing yoga, moments of quiet, reading, writing, watching the sunset, drinking tea, and sleeping.
